Mobile Browsing Getting Popular!
With the ever expanding internet connectivity technology such as GPRS, EDGE and 3G it's common to see most people using their mobile phones to go online. Even I myself frequently check my mails using my mobile phone when I'm on the go. Most phones can only access a wap site (also known as a mobile website) with it's default browser but if your phone has Java then you can download a different browser which offers a full page browsing experience.
There is an interesting article on Adweek that states:
Seventy-one percent of the 1,000-plus U.S. mobile users interviewed said they have Web access on their phones, and more than 40 percent said they have used mobile Web services.
It seems that more and more people are using their mobile phones to go online and it is definitely making telco companies happy
