Google In Your Language a Success
In July 2008 Google proudly reported that their Google In Your Language Program has come a long way since its inception in the year 2004. Now, four years later, they have grown from being a provider of we products and apps in 150 local languages to more than 1500 (and counting) in the year 2008. Compared to 2007, 2008 was a very fruitful and productive year whereby they released five times as many localized products compared to yesteryear. Google reports that their switch to Unicode 5.1 has helped many individuals read and write effortlessly using special language-unique characters.
