Ex-Googlers Posing A Threat To Google With It's New Search Engine: Cuil
Some ex-googlers who are well versed with the programming and functioning of Google have formed a team to create a new search engine by the name of Cuil.com. This is an old Irish word and pronounced as 'cool'. This team is proclaiming that Cuil is a better and effective search engine than Google.
This team claims that Cuil has a bigger index than Google’s and if the new indexing concept proves to be successful then page ranking and linking will no more be relevant. The format of the Cuil’s result page is different by giving the results in 3 columns with images if possible. The most important aspect is that Cuil does not store any IP addresses, names and cookies.
