Is Your Google Ranking Dependent On Your CTR?

Posted in Google, Search Engine Optimization on Apr 12, 2010

Google uses the click parameter to rate the ranking of the ads. For normal search results also the same procedure applies where the top ten results have been produced due to the clicks. A good amount of visitors click on the 1st result and a little less click on the second and this continues with subsequently lesser clicks on each result in the descending order.

When there is a greater number of clicks on a particular result, Google gives that page a higher position. In this manner Google ranks all the popular web pages higher which makes it easy for the searchers. It is not established that Google uses the CTR to define the ranking procedure. You should also have attractive titles and Meta descriptions on your web pages. People tend to flock towards attractive websites and you will attract more visitors.
