Credit Card Is The Root Of All Evil

Posted in Uncategorized on Oct 15, 2008

People say that money is the root of all evil. But I say that credit card is the root of all evil. In my opinion credit card has done a lot more damage to peoples lives. In today's world everyone that has credit cards are at risk of having credit card debts. It does not matter what your current financial status is, if you have a credit card, you are prone to credit card debts. To help lessen the burden of credit debts, various credit card debt reduction programs were created by the government and private financial companies.

These days, students are more likely to get in credit debts than everyone else. Even though credit cards has a set limit but since they are *lending* money or using money that they don't actually have to buy stuff, students can easily forget how much they spend and how deep in debt they are. Credit card companies will do all sort of things to make students apply for a credit card. Credit Card companies only care about profits so don't take every word they say, instead read the credit card forms and contracts.

There is no doubt that credit cards do offer a lot of advantages but if a person who does not manage their expenses efficiently, they will be in huge debts in no time. In my opinion, everyone who applies a credit card should attend a special class on financial management so that they can get a good idea of the good and bad things that can happen with credit cards. Although I don't think that current credit card companies will not offer any type of education insights on the pros and cons of credit cards, I strongly believe that in the near future, the government will make a new ruling which will make it compulsory for credit card companies to educate credit card applicants on financial management and the pros and cons of credit cards.
