W3Counter – Free Web Stats

Posted in Uncategorized on Jun 03, 2007

Yet another free web tracker service has just launched! Introducing…..W3Counter :) Like any most free web tracker, w3Counter offers detailed analysis of your site traffic and a live view of what your visitors are doing on your site. You'll know which sites referred visitors to your blog and what search terms that are you conquering. Easily see which pages are most popular, and which your visitors choose to leave from and find out the browsers, platforms and screen settings your visitors use, where they're from and what language they speak.

In my opinion, W3Counter really concentrates on making quality reports and a couple of nice features. Some of the interesting features of W3Counter is that they provides RSS feed tracking and has a built-in link tracker. W3Counter obtains RSS data from Feedburner. This feature can help you know your visitors more (what country are they from etc.)

W3Counter also has an interesting click tracking feature. Via the "site overlay" menu, you can track all clicked links without installing a messy script.

Other than that the report also covers bounce rate which tells you how many of your visitors did not continue beyond the first page of your website. This can let you know a particular post or page that does not interest your visitors and by having this information you can think of ways to lower the bounce rate.

W3Counter is free…so go ahead and check it out ;)
