ADSDAQ by ContextWeb
On May 1 2007, ContextWeb Inc. which is one of the leading contextual advertising company announced that it will open the first true online advertising exchange: ADSDAQ (http://www.adsdaq.com). ADSDAQ has the ability to set a firm "Bid" or "Ask" price - to all traders (publishers and advertisers).
Anand Subramanian, CEO of ContextWeb, Inc. said:
Successful exchanges have always provided traders the ability to place a firm 'Bid' or 'Ask' price. The online marketplace is now ready for a true exchange. By including advertisers and publishers of all sizes, ADSDAQ creates a more scalable marketplace for premium advertising inventory across the entire internet.
In most exchange and network business, are not permitted to set an "Ask" price but only receive a portion of the revenue revenue of the "Bid" price from the advertiser.
ContextWeb will buy and sell advertising on behalf of its existing network advertiser and publisher clients when the exchange formally opens this summer.
Mr. Subramanian said:
Having successfully implemented and run millions of media dollars through a bid and ask model for the past year, ContextWeb is now ready to accommodate everyone who wishes to buy and sell media online via the ADSDAQ exchange
Here are some of the features of ADSDAQ:
Pricing Control
ADSDAQ provides pricing control (BidPrice) for the advertiser and (AskPrice) for the publisher to both parties for the first time.
Premium Inventory
ADSDAQ is an exchange for premium inventory, not remnant. Since the publishers will set their CPM (cost per thousand) AskPrice, the ADSDAQ exchange is a "first stop" for inventory prior to a publisher's ad network alternatives. Their ContextAd page level targeting provides the control to advertisers to make the exchange inventory "brand safe" and eliminate waste.
Open to Everyone
ADSDAQ will be open to all publishers and advertisers. Immediately ADSDAQ will trade on behalf of advertisers and publishers in their existing network.
Currently, all advertisers and publishers can get an invite for the BETA at ADSDAQ
